President Obama’s 2012 re-election victory now includes Florida’s 29 electoral votes as the Florida’s secretary of state declared Nov. 10 the president has a 74,000-vote edge over Republican challenger Mitt Romney after a tumultuous vote that took four days to count.

The win puts the Obama electoral count at 332 electoral votes, far beyond the 270 votes needed to be declared president.

The general election Nov. 6 was marred in Florida by on-again, off-again early voting, hours-long waits to get to the voting booth and confusion over new voting rules enacted in 2011. The vote summary was not completed until Nov. 10.

Only overseas and military votes remain uncounted in Florida.
