Pastor Albert A. Young, 49, of the Total Deliverance Ministries in North Philadelphia was arrested after being accused of using his ministry to sexually abuse his 15-year-old mentally challenged niece, according to

“Young was with his niece in the ministry office on the evening of Aug. 12 when he made her sit in his lap and began touching her sexually, putting his hands inside the girl’s pants, fondling her buttocks and kissing her neck,” according to a Philadelphia Daily News account, which cited a police affidavit. “Young continued to touch the girl, at one point pressing and rubbing his clothed genitals against her and taking her hand to make her touch him.”

After the incident, Young told his niece not to divulge details of what had happened, according to However, she did not listen and told the police what her uncle had done.

The police issued a warrant for Young after detectives looked into the complaint. Young was arrested Oct. 30 and charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault of a child.

A judge set Young’s bail at $50,000. The so-called “apostle” is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 19.
