Pop star Mariah Carey, 41, and her husband Nick Cannon, 30, celebrated their three-year anniversary by welcoming twins, a boy and a girl, at 12:07 p.m. on April 30 at an unspecified hospital in Los Angeles.
The couple had a baby girl, weighing 5.3 pounds and measuring 18 inches long, and a baby boy weighing in at 5.6 pounds and 19 inches, according to the Associated Press.
Cannon raced to the hospital in a Rolls-Royce Phantom and once he arrived, got lost in the building, according to Carey’s representative, Cindy Berger.
“It was like right out of an ‘I Love Lucy’ skit,” Berger told the AP.
Cannon was able to gather himself and, after the birth of the babies, tweeted about how amazing the moment was.
“My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!” he said. “I won’t ever be able to top this!”
Well wishes poured in to the couple on Twitter from various celebrities including Jermaine Dupri, Nicki Minaj and Alyssa Milano.
The couple hasn’t named the babies yet. They plan to renew their vows on May 1.
