TOMORROW: Van Hollen to Rally for Women’s Health at Planned Parenthood Baltimore Health Center
Washington, DC – Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen will join Baltimore City Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen, Planned Parenthood of Maryland Interim President and CEO Dr. Amina Chaudhry, Planned Parenthood volunteers, and others tomorrow, September 29, 2015 at 10:00 am to demonstrate support for women’s health programs and the essential care that Planned Parenthood of Maryland provides. Amid the ongoing attacks against women’s health programs and Planned Parenthood, Congressman Van Hollen has been leading the fight against defunding the invaluable and lifesaving services Planned Parenthood provides.
Congressman Van Hollen said, “The health services Planned Parenthood provides are absolutely essential to keeping Maryland women and families healthy. Republicans are fixated on spreading misinformation and defunding Planned Parenthood, but I remain committed to fighting and winning this battle because every woman deserves access to quality, affordable health care.”
