Ellen Gee, one of the organizers of the Baltimore Ceasefire, talks about the path forward promoting non-violence in the city after the Ceasefire weekend, which unfortunately saw two deaths by violence in 72 hours. We’ll also talk to Adam Jackson of Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle, about the challenges of the non-profit funding infrastructure, embodied by the decision by Living Classrooms, to effectively shut down the Pleasant View Day Care Center, the only facility that directly serves public housing families in East Baltimore.
These stories and much more on AFRO’s First Edition with Sean Yoes, Monday through Friday, 5-7 p.m.
