Officials believe a tornado hit ground in northern Baltimore during the early morning hours of Nov. 17. Homes on Fleetwood Avenue and the surrounding area were impacted, leaving approximately 19,000 residents without power and eventually requiring residents leave the area until gas leaks and downed power lines were stabilized. The storm removed the roofs from several dwellings and pulled trees from the ground, exposing their roots. While many were impacted by the storm, no major injuries or fatalities were reported.
