Tycoon and television personality Donald Trump’s “October surprise” bombshell on Oct. 24 fizzled, as he re-tread old ground in a continuing attack on President Obama.

In a video posted on his Twitter page at noon, Trump announced he would donate $5 million to a charity of President Obama’s choice if the president released his college and passport records.

“I have a deal for the president—a deal that I do not believe he can refuse,” Trump said. “If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications, and passport application and records, I will give to a charity of his choice, a check immediately for $5 million.”

In the video and in a letter posted on his Facebook account, Trump reiterated his much-voiced concern about the president’s supposedly obscure past.

“President Obama is the least transparent president in the history of this country,” he asserted. “Sadly, we know very little about a large portion of our President’s life.”

Declaring himself the spokesman for many worried Americans, The Donald added, “If he releases these records it will end the question, and indeed the anger, of many Americans.”

Trump, a Mitt Romney advocate , issued the president a Halloween deadline, 5 p.m. Oct. 31, to accept the deal.

He further pressed Obama on Oct. 25, “I am offering the chance for Barack Obama to redistribute $5M to any charity of his choice. Everyone wins. Take the deal.”
