U.S. Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.-03) will not seek re-election after his current term is completed. He will be releasing a seat he has occupied for 16 years. Maryland Sen. Sarah Elfreth (D-Md.-30) has already announced her run for the third congressional seat.
