An 11-year-old middle school student in Loudoun County, Va. has accused his teacher of assaulting him in class.

Justen Bryant said he was sitting in class on Oct. 14 when a male teacher who was supervising the class room for that period told him to sit down.

“And then I told him I am sitting,” Bryant told NBC Washington, D.C. affiliate WRC-TV. “He picked me up by my waist and pushed me into the hall. Started yelling at me.”

But Bryant initially didn’t tell his father, Michael Bryant. The elder Bryant told the TV station that he found out the next day from the parent of one of his son’s classmates.

“She began to tell me that her son was concerned for Justen because of what happened and she explained what happened at that time,” Michael Bryant said.”

According The Loudoun County Times, Bryant and his father filed a motion on Oct. 19 to keep the teacher out of the classroom until an investigation has been completed. That investigation is being handled by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department.

“The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating allegations of an assault involving a teacher and a student at Harmony Middle School” department spokesman Kraig Troxell told the Times. “The assault reportedly occurred on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at the school. The incident was reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office the following day.”
