NEW YORK (AP) — Wendy Lewis, among Major League Baseball’s highest-ranking Black executives, is leaving after two decades in the sport’s central office.

The commissioner’s office said Wednesday that Lewis, its senior vice president of diversity and strategic alliances, will become chief global diversity officer of McDonald’s Corp.

Lewis started in baseball in the Chicago Cubs’ human resources department in 1987 and joined MLB eight years later.
