Associated Black Charities (ABC) will host their annual Gala, June 8, at Martin’s West in Baltimore. ABC is recognized in the community for its leadership and advocacy, focusing on closing the health and wealth gaps for Maryland residents.

The sold out event will honor corporate leaders and the Baltimore Ravens.

This year, the event chair is Chineta Davis, an ABC board member and retired vice president of Northrop Grumman. The honorary co-chairs for the Gala are Laura Gamble, president of the Greater Maryland Region of PNC Bank and Tony Lewis, vice president of the Mid-Atlantic Region for Verizon.

In addition to the icon and special recognition awards, this year’s, 2013 Emerging Leaders Award and first annual Community Investor Awards will also be presented.

Additionally, the first annual Community Excellence Award will be presented to the Baltimore Ravens.

The annual Gala is ABC’s largest organizational networking event. Some of the proceeds from this event are used to fund and create healthier and wealthier communities throughout the state of Maryland.

While there will be live music and dancing in the main banquet hall, there will also be a silent auction and a jazz lounge featuring local artists.
