Cardin to Keynote Symposium on International Human Rights at University of Baltimore School of Law
Monday, March 2 at 12:30 PM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin will deliver the keynote address at a University of Baltimore School of Law (UB Law) symposium exploring the role of the United States in international human rights. Senator Cardin will explore a variety of topics world-wide, including ISIS/ISIL, the Russian incursion into the Ukraine and need for the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act to combat corruption.
โHuman rights abusers and corrupt officials around the world need to hear loud and clear that the United States speaks with one voice when it says that we will fight corruption and human rights violations wherever they occur,โ said Senator Cardin. โWe must stand together in condemnation of injustice and continue the urgent task of fostering an international community where every person has the same equal opportunities to contribute to humankind.โ
