The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is still searching for information that can lead to solving the homicide of a local rapper killed on Nov. 2 in Southeast, D.C.

Authorities said 22-year-old Joshua Wayne Munson, who resided in District Heights, Md. in Prince Georgeโs County, was found unconscious in an alleyway behind a residence in the 1600 block of T Street, SE after being shot multiple times. Munson recorded rap music under the moniker Beverly Deuce and had several videos on YouTube including โPour it Upโ and โBalling Out.โ
Around 11:24 p.m. officers arrived on the crime scene after receiving calls for an unconscious man, according to police reports. The victim was suffering from gunshot injuries in the alleyway, the reports said. D.C. Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene along with police.
Munson died on the scene.
Sean Hickman, a spokesperson from the department, told the AFRO Nov. 14 that officials do not have a description of the suspect. โNo arrests have been made,โ he said. โIt is still under investigation.โ Authorities have not released a motive for the fatal attack.
Munsonโs funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Mount Calvary Catholic Church, 6700 Marlboro Pike.
