Clayton C. Stansbury Jr., beloved retired dean of Morgan State University’s Honors College, died Aug. 30 at age 93. His funeral services will be held Sept. 16.
The wake is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. ET at Morgan State University’s Murphy Fine Arts Center, 2201 Argonne Drive in Baltimore. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m., with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Drive in Baltimore.
According to AFRO reporting from 1987, Stansbury was well known among MSU students for making himself readily available to talk with them each morning while teaching at the college. He was active across campus, serving on several committees and often lending his time to support fellow colleagues.
Stansbury was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
