Superstar boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. may not be fighting at all in 2011, but he’s still finding ways to make money off sports.

Mayweather on March 23 posted a picture via his Twitter account displaying a betting slip from the M Resort in Las Vegas showing he won $37,272.75 by betting on an NBA game.

As the photo shows, Mayweather made a bet during the halftime of the March 22 Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks game. According to ESPNChicago.com, he bet that the Bulls would stop the Hawks from outscoring them by six or more points in the second half. The Bulls, led by MVP candidate Derrick Rose, in fact went on to outscore Atlanta in the second half 42-38, thus winning the bet for Mayweather.

“My lil’ brother Derrick Rose will always get you paid,” Mayweather tweeted.

M Resort officials declined to confirm the winning bet. “We can’t really discuss it,? M Resort sports book supervisor Jorgen Johnson told ESPNChicago.com. ?It’s a privacy issue. He does like to put his tickets on Twitter.”

Mayweather, 33, is facing felony charges stemming from a domestic violence dispute with his ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. According to reports, Mayweather allegedly stole Harris’ iPhone, while also threatening to beat her and two of their children after an argument in August 2010.
