An African-American actor is suing actor Marlon Wayans for racial discrimination.

Actor Pierre Daniel on Aug. 25 filed a claim of harassment, discrimination and retaliation on the basis of race in a Los Angeles court dating back to a tweet Wayans posted on Twitter on Sept. 4, 2013.

Wayans hired Daniel to play a part in his movie โ€œHaunted House 2โ€last year.

In the tweet, Wayans compared Daniels to Cleveland Brown, an animated character on the shows โ€œFamily Guyโ€and โ€œThe Cleveland Show.โ€

โ€œTell me this nโ€”a donโ€™t look like โ€ฆ THIS Nโ€”a!!!โ€ Wayans tweeted, posting a picture of
(Brown and Daniel side by side.

According to NewsOne, Daniel claimed in the suit that Wayans hurt his ability to act by causing him โ€œshock, pain, discomfort and/or anxietyโ€ and he is reportedly giving up his craft as a result. Daniel is reportedly targeting not only Wayans but the filmโ€™s production company and is requesting unspecified damages.
