Cardin, Delaney to Hold Briefing on Clean Energy Goals
House and Senate resolutions will urge 50/30 clean energy planning for U.S.
Thursday, March 3 at 12:15PM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), a senior member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, and U.S. Representative John K. Delaney (Md.-06), a member of the Joint Economic Committee, will discuss with reporters the benefits of the U.S. achieving 50 percent of its energy from clean and non-carbon sources by 2030 and the importance of Congress prioritizing this goal. This week, in both the House and Senate, the lawmakers will introduce resolutions affirming this commitment. The Cardin-Delaney-Lujan resolution is supported by 25 Senators and 70 Members of the House.
