The eighth annual Africa Celebration is scheduled to be held on Sept. 28 at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), 4200 Connecticut Ave., NW from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free and highlights the diverse African communities in the District community through traditional African music and dance performances. The Mayor’s Office on African Affairs (MOAA) will hold activities to showcase the African culture as well as commemorate African communities that have added to the cultural, social, and economic fabric of the District.
