The National Park Service and the 11th Street Bridge Park are scheduled to hold the second annual Anacostia River Festival, a premier event and official closing program of the National Cherry Blossom Festival on April 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place at Anacostia Park, National Park Service, located at Good Hope Road and Anacostia Drive SE. This year’s Anacostia River Festival celebrates “connecting people to parks” in recognition of the National Park Service’s Centennial celebration. The event is free and open to the public.
