Almost a year after his death, three acclaimed authors, Stanley Bennett Clay, Terrance Dean and James Earl Hardy, are preparing to release Visible Lives: Three Stories in Tribute to E. Lynn Harris, a book celebrating the late writer’s contributions to the literary world.

In an interview with blackvoices.com, Harris called the celebrated author an icon who “told those stories that we dared not to tell.”

The book is comprised of three novellas in which Harris appears as a minor character.

“Each of our stories about the very topic and subject matter E. Lynn was known for,” Dean told blackvoices.com. “ the complexities and challenges of Black gay love between men and as well as their friendships with one another and black women.”

E. Lynn Harris died suddenly July 23, 2009, in Los Angeles while promoting his latest book, Basketball Jones, which follows an NBA player and his lover. According to reports, the author died of heart failure.
