Created in 2000, the Frederick Douglass Path to Freedom Walking Tour in historic Fell's Point, will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Fell’s Point waterfront at Broadway and Thames.

This tour is in dedication to the 175th anniversary of Douglass finding his way to freedom and subsequently establishing himself as one of America's freedom fighters. For more information, visit

Notre Dame Preparatory School will hold its Annual Blazer Dash 5K Run/Walk on its Towson-area campus. Walk-in registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the run/walk starting at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the 5K event will benefit NDP endowed funds and memorial tuition scholarships established at NDP.

Over the past 18 years, Prudential Spirit of Community Awards have been given to more than 100,000 middle and high school students across the country for helping the less fortunate, promoting health and safety, protecting the environment, and serving their communities through many other volunteer activities.
