Baltimore Child Abuse Center will host the inaugural and SOLD OUT Be A Hero event at the American Visionary Art Museum, April 3. The evening will feature boxing champion and child sexual abuse survivor, Sugar Ray Leonard.
Be A Hero is sold out thanks to the tremendous support of the community and outstanding sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor, Wells Fargo.
The event will honor individuals in the Baltimore community who have demonstrated a commitment to protecting children from sexual abuse: Neil Meltzer, CEO of LifeBridge Health, philanthropist Ellen Wasserman, and community activist, Angelique Redmond.
The evening will begin with a VIP reception at 5:30pm, complete with open bar, hors d’oeuvres, mingling, and a special meet & greet with Sugar Ray Leonard.
The Main Event will follow at 6:15pm with open bar, seated served dinner, high-end raffles, a chance for guests to fund the mission of BCAC, Sugar Ray Leonard will share his story, and more.
The evening’s honorary co-chairs are Debbie Phelps, educator and mother of Olympian Michael Phelps, and Baltimore City State’s Attorney Gregg Bernstein. Colby Simon and Jennifer Sachs are the evening’s event chairs.
