A 61-year-old Cherry Hill man was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with the alleged rape of a 43-year-old woman who lives in a nursing home, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Donald Stanton, of the 2800 block of Bookert Drive, was denied bail after being taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and being charged with multiple counts of rape.

Stanton faces charges of first-degree and second-degree rape, sex offense in the first, second, and third degree, and second-degree assault, according to court documents obtained online.

According to authorities, Stanton walked into the victim’s room on Jan. 1 and allegedly threatened and raped her. The victim suffers from paralysis and cannot walk.

It is not clear if Stanton was a resident of the nursing home or there visiting.

Stanton did not have an attorney listed in court records.
