Seeking work created by BCPS students, teachers, administrators, and staff

TOWSON, MD. – One way that many members of the Baltimore County Public Schools community are getting through this coronavirus pandemic is by making art. The BCPS Office of Visual Arts wants to see what you’ve been making and include it in an upcoming online exhibition titled “We Will Get Through This With Art.”

Original visual art submissions (up to five per artist) are encouraged from all BCPS students, teachers, administrators, and staff. The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 5, and individuals must have a BCPS login or Gmail account to access the online entry form.

“This exhibition is to celebrate every artist in BCPS,” said Sherri Fisher, BCPS visual arts coordinator. “During this unprecedented time, there are many things that have urged us to make art, and often be creative in how we accomplish it. This exhibition offers a chance to share your work with others and bring us a step closer together, even when we physically can’t be.”

All submitted artwork will be reviewed for public presentation, and as much work will be included as possible. The exhibition will be presented publicly online at the end of the 2019-2020 BCPS school year.

Any questions about the exhibition can be submitted to rtwentey@bcps.org.
