(Bowie, Md.) ? Bowie State University will host its First Annual Bulldog Golf Classic on May 10 at the Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville, Md. Proceeds from this event will support the BSU athletic program including weight room renovations and scholarships.

“Our goal to excel in academics and athletics is our number one priority. The investment in our students today will pay dividends in their lives in the future,” said Anton Goff, athletic director at Bowie State University.

The public is invited to participate in this charitable event. The day’s activities consist of registration and a practice range at 8:30 a.m., a shotgun start at 10 a.m., and an awards ceremony and luncheon at 3:30 p.m. Individuals and parties of four can register for the tournament. As well, companies and individuals can contribute through various levels of sponsorship opportunities.
