Baltimore Police are investigating five shootings and one homicide from over the weekend.

Western District patrol officers responded to a 2:08 p.m. “Shot Spotter” report Oct. 9. The responding officers found a 32-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in the 2100 block of Vine Street.

The man was taken by medics to an area hospital for treatment, police say.

Southeast District patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of McElderry Street, at approximately 4:43 p.m. on the same day, whereupon they discovered a 13-year-old boy shot in the leg. Police describe the wound as not life-threatening.

The following day, Oct. 10, Southwest District patrol officers responded to a 12;08 a.m. report of a shooting in the 700 block of North Edgewood Street. The responding officers found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Police describe the wound as not life-threatening.

The same day, Southeast District patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Forrest Street. The responding officers found an unidentified man with gunshot wounds.

The man was taken by medics to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead shortly after his arrival at Johns Hopkins.

Finally, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Southwest District responded to a report of an area hospital walk-in with gunshot wounds. The responding officers found a 20-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police describe the wound as not life-threatening.

Southwest District shooting detectives have taken over the investigation of the walk-in woman. Detectives say they believe the shooting occurred in the 100 block of North Rock Glen Road.

Southwest District homicide detectives are investigating the Forrest Street shooting. Detectives ask that anyone with information contact them at 410-396-2100.
