October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors and promoting early detection. Throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, local organizations and health providers are offering a variety of free events, including walks, screenings, educational workshops and support gatherings. Breast Cancer Awareness- Victory Walk
In Bailey Park there will be a Victory Walk for the survivors or Breast Cancer. Pink clothing is strongly encouraged as Ashley Delise Curates, the event organizer, celebrates her mother being cancer free. All survivors are encouraged to bring their family and friends to celebrate them as well.ย
