Comptroller to Tour Baltimore Schools

WHO:   Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:  In his role as a member of the Board of Public Works, Comptroller Franchot will tour two Baltimore schools Monday morning: Federal Hill Preparatory School and Patterson Park Public Charter School. Federal Hill Preparatory, serves 300 students from pre-K to fifth grade, is receiving $1.3 million to replace a roof and $688,000 for fire safety upgrades in FY2016. At Patterson Park, with 665 students, the Comptroller will see improvements made and visit a social studies class to encourage students to become financially literate.
