The Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Northwest, Washington, D.C. was the site for the Capital District Diversity Committee, US Postal Service 2012 Black History Program being held under the theme: Celebrating African-American Culture and Contributions. Benjamin Phillips, Director of Global Markets, Afro-American Newspapers was the guest speaker. During the program, the 2012 Black Heritage Series Stamp was unveiled: John H. Johnson, Founder of Ebony/Jet Magazines. After contest winners were named, the program concluded with a Capital District Sunday Best Fashion Show.
