During her Feb. 27 stop in San Francisco, Calif., entertainer Belcalis “Cardi B.” Almánzar officially confirmed her split from New England Patriots Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs.
In fan videos posted to social media, the rapper can be heard saying “I’m too sexy to be lonely and too grown to be played with.”
Rumors of a split between rapper Cardi B. and Diggs began in the days following the Feb. 8 Superbowl, circulating rapidly amongst fans on all social media platforms.
The speculation was fueled by a short clip posted by ESPN that seemingly went viral at the Superbowl. In the video, Cardi B. was asked about the father of her second son, born a little more than four months ago. A smile and a simple “Good luck” were all the rapper could muster up. Her response sparked questions, as it was a stark contrast to the bubbly lovebird seen all last year.
After the Patriots took a sad loss to the Seattle Seahawks, losing 29-13, both Cardi B. and Diggs unfollowed each other, further adding to the speculation of the alleged split between the two.
The latest declaration isn’t the first time Cardi has addressed the status of the relationship with Diggs, who she began dating as divorce negotiations continue with estranged husband, rapper Kiari “Offest” Cephus. All along the tour fans have witnessed the star and mother of four process the break up from Offset and now, Diggs.
After hearing that Diggs and Cardi B were done last month, the rapper, BIA, responded with her own opinion.
“Can u name someone with more bms than receiving yards? I can!” said BIA in a tweet, taking an obvious jab at Diggs and his personal life.
Taking to the stage to address the rumors in Los Angeles, Cardi B. prefaced the performance of her song “Pretty and Petty,” from her second studio album, “Am I the Drama?” with a direct message to fellow rapper, BIA, and anyone else who appeared to take a jab at the deteriorating relationship between the new parents.
“Just because I ain’t f***ing with my bd (baby daddy) doesn’t mean you get to talk about my bd!” said Cardi B, on Feb. 15.
BIA’s rivalry with Cardi B. inspired the “Pretty and Petty” song, and comes after a years-long beef between the two women.
The gossip was the least of Diggs’ worries though.
According to a report made by ESPN, Diggs appeared in court on Feb. 13 following a serious legal dispute formed against him by his personal chef. The alleged domestic dispute occurred on Dec. 2, 2025 that resulted in a felony strangulation charge, resulting in the court hearing just days after the Superbowl.
Diggs pleaded not guilty to all charges against him and is now scheduled to appear again for a pretrial hearing on April 1, 2026.
Cardi B. will continue her LittleMissDrama tour until April 18, 2026.
