After suffering a brain hemorrhage last week, Gary Coleman, 42, died at a Salt Lake City, Utah, hospital. His wife, Shannon Price, requested Coleman be taken off life support, according to reports.
But Coleman’s estranged relatives are questioning why a police investigation has not been launched into the “Dif’frent Strokes” stars’ death.
Coleman allegedly fell at his Utah home, but few details surrounding the accident have been released.
“We’re not pointing fingers at anyone, but we need to know exactly what happened,” said Coleman’s mother, Sue Coleman, in an interview with People.com. “We’re not angry. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.”
However, Santaquin Police Chief Dennis Howard told People.com, “There was absolutely nothing suspicious about death. There is no investigation going on.”
The actor had a tumultuous relationship with Price, 24, and appeared on daytime TV show “Divorce Court.” In February he pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges.
The Colemans believe Price can provide additional details about their son’s fall and said they have tried to contact her since his hospitalization.
