Columbus Short, part of a fictional team of high level fixers on “Scandal,” has been ordered to vacate the Los Angeles home he shared with estranged wife Tanee McCall-Short after an alleged series of domestic violence incidents.

Under a restraining order, Short’s request to be allowed to return to the family home was denied by a Los Angeles County judge who ordered the actor to collect his personal belongings within two hours April 28, under escort and monitoring of his attorney, and clear out of the house.

According to the Pittsburgh Courier, Short’s wife obtained a restraining order against her husband after a fight between the couple in which, she claimed, Short pinned her down, choked her and threatened to stab her if she didn’t admit to cheating on him.

She also said Short placed a knife to her throat and told her he would kill her and himself, according to the Courier. Since the incident, she has filed for divorce and is seeking full custody of their two-year-old daughter.

The action is the latest in a string of erratic and violent acts that police and prosecutors said Short allegedly committed in the last month.

On March 15, Short was involved in an incident where he was alleged to have punched a male patron unconscious in a fight at a restaurant in West Los Angeles.

Then there were the alleged acts of domestic violence and an appearance on “The Tom Joyner Show” that resulted in an apology from Short for using the n-word during a broadcast interview.

Short recently told CNN, “As you all know, lately my personal life has been subjected to a lot of press. As much as I would like to provide my side of events, my counsel has instructed me that a court of law is the only and proper venue to deal with such matter. Accordingly, I must refrain from making any comments even though that is very difficult for me under the circumstances. Thank you to my fans for your continued support during this difficult time.”

In addition to his role on “Scandal”, Short is also known for his performance in the movie “Stomp The Yard.”
