Recently, hundreds dressed in white filled the Empowerment Temple in Northwest Baltimore not just to mourn, but to celebrate the life and legacy of Gerald Brown, who was gunned down on Forest Park Ave., in Northwest Baltimore on June 7. The tribute to Brown, a community leader, comedian and legendary local basketball player, included a
community basketball game. Young men hold a Douglass High School jersey with Brown’s number 22, as well as an announcement of the basketball game held in his honor.
