Hello everyone! I want to talk about concerts, farmer’s markets and just having a duck-plucking good time outdoors because the weather is so GREAT!

As of last week on Wednesday, and every Wednesday from now until Sept. 26 the “Friends of Druid Hill Park” is sponsoring the Druid Hill Farmer’ Market 3:30-7:30 p.m. My goodness! That doesn’t give you much time to shop does it? It takes me that long to check out everything. The mission of the “Friends of Druid Hill Park, is to protect and maintain its magnificent woods and arbors, to preserve its historic monuments and buildings, and to reinvigorate the park as a central recreational, cultural and educational institution. What a grand gesture, this is another reason other than shopping for locally grown, vegetables, meats, fruits, flowers and plants. At press time, I could not find out where in Druid Hill Park the farmer’s market is located, so when you get there, just follow the crowd and listen for the music.

Another farmer’s market is going on called, “Randallstown Farmers’ Market” which is located at 8604 Liberty Road, which also opens every Wednesday 1-5 p.m. from now until Sept. 12. The Liberty Road Business Association has brought the Farmer’s Market to the Liberty Road corridor now in its fifth year. Patrons will find this weekly open-air market hosts a diverse array of vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, plants, flowers and other locally grown and produced foods, as well as handcrafted artisan items such as jewelry, soap and candles. Of course the farmers’ market is free and open to the community.
