UnitedHealthcare is hosting free events aimed at improving the health of African-American seniors D.C. area. The events begin with a Medicare seminar where participants learn the basics of Medicare, including the different parts of the program, eligibility requirements and enrollment windows. Immediately following the seminar, attendees will be treated to a viewing of a classic movie filmed during the black and white cinematic era.

The Girl From Chicago will be shown 9 a.m., July 24 at Lee Center Adult Day Services, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, Va.

Juke Joint will be shown 9 a.m., Aug. 7 at Bowie Senior Center, 14900 Health Center Drive, Bowie, Md.

Holmes Norton Job Fair
Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton will hold 16th annual Job Fair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 21 at the Washington Convention Center (800 Mount Vernon Place NW – between 7th and 9th Streets NW).
