The Dallas Mavericks held on to claim a 93-87 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in game three of their best-of-seven series May 21, and took a 2-1 series lead.

Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki didn’t have his best performance, scoring just 18 points after piling up 48 points in game one and 28 in game two. But Nowitzki’s supporting cast filled in, as veteran forward Shawn Marion matched Nowitzki with 18 points and guard Jason Kidd added 13 points. Guard Jason Terry scored 13 points off the bench.

Guard Russell Westbrook led Oklahoma City with 30 points, including several key shots in the fourth quarter that helped the Thunder narrow a double-digit Maverick lead. Forward Kevin Durant totaled 24 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

Game four will tip off on Monday, May 23.
