Triumph of Disruption is an artful attempt to show through dynamic dance and music performance, an epidemic of failure in America’s methods of educating its youth. Using pop iconic imagery and popular music, Triumph is a funky, hip, and engaging journey entertaining the concept of Disruption as a method to alleviate the problems facing a particular group of young people. Artistic Director Kwame Opare, with a grant from the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, has worked with local and various Baltimore area youth and professionals to bring Triumph to the Baltimore Museum of Art, 7:30 p.m., May 16.
