ON THE NEXT DOWNTOWN DOWNLOAD WEBINAR, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27 AT 9 AM: UNDERSTANDING 5G TECHNOLOGY AND WHAT IT COULD MEAN FOR BUSINESS, INDIVIDUALS, AND BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE

BALTIMORE – On its next free Downtown Download webinar on October 27 at 9 am, Downtown Partnership will be joined by Eric Reed, a top telecom executive from Verizon who will walk us through the new 5G wireless technology that is being rolled out to understand how it’s different, and what kind of impact it will have. The company recently selected Baltimore as its first 5G city in Maryland.

It’s hard to miss the buzz about 5G lately, but what is it, really? How will dramatically increasing wireless download speeds reshape our daily lives, and can 5G be a tool that bridges the digital divide?

Downtown Partnership produces the series with Baltimore City Councilman, Eric Costello. Each show features the latest news and guidance for businesses and residents looking to navigate the coronavirus recovery. Along with Councilman Costello, the webinars will be hosted by Downtown Partnership Interim President, Shelonda Stokes, and feature different expert guests each week.

The webinars are free and anyone wishing to attend should register at: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/8816027257505/WN_QWjH45ntQ3m2Oez5bPY5PA
