Edwards Statement Commemorating September 11th Anniversary
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (MD-4) released the following statement to commemorate the thirteenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
“Today the people of Maryland’s 4th Congressional District join with communities across our country to remember the nearly 3,000 people, among them 48 Marylanders, who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.
“We remember friends and family members, and the first responders who put their lives on the line for other Americans – a testament to the ideals our country holds most dear.
“Since that day, America’s service men and women have defended our nation’s interests with unshakeable strength and unquestionable bravery. We will never forget their sacrifice, and will always remember those Americans who lost their lives 13 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.”
