French model Noemie Lenoir, recognized for her advertisement campaigns with The Gap and Victoria’s Secret, was found unconscious May 9 after an apparent suicide attempt, according to FOX News.

Lenoir, 30, was first found unconscious at the home of her former boyfriend, soccer sensation Claude Makele. The statuesque model had apparently indulged in a deadly cocktail of alcohol and drugs. French newspapers say she woke up minutes after Makele called an ambulance and left the home, only to fall unconscious again hours later.

A man walking his dog allegedly found Lenoir in a forest on the outskirts of Paris.

According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, friends of the model say she was “in a state of great distress and clearly very ill. She had clearly attempted to harm herself and fallen unconscious.”

Lenoir is currently in an English hospital recovering from the incident.

Meanwhile, model Beverly Peele, was critically injured in a car accident one day later, according to TMZ.com. The report said Peele was critically injured in the collission, which took place in Los Angeles, and is recovering at the UCLA Medical Center.

Peele, 35, had a successful run in the fashion industry and appeared on more than 250 magazine covers in the ‘80s. She was also the face of Donna Karan, Versace and Ralph Lauren.

Peele last made news in 2005 when she was arrested for identity theft and placed on three years’ probation.
