The first annual Minority Business Day will be on Sept. 28 at 6305 Addison Rd. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event plans to educate and empower the audience on the process of obtaining their own Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certificate. Attendees will learn how to become eligible for government contracts, gain increased marketing opportunities and how to gain more opportunities to compete for contracts. Minority Business Day will also feature exhibitors, including the Department of General Services, State Highway Administration, Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives, Governor’s Office of Small Minority & Women’s Affairs, and others.
