Former Baltimore Colts player and movie star Bubba Smith was found dead on August 3 at his Los Angeles home, according to reports. He was 66.

The LATimes.com reports that the L.A. County coroner’s office hasn’t determined the cause of Smith’s death yet, but police officials think he may have died of natural causes. L.A. police officials report that Smith’s body was discovered by a caretaker at his home on Sunlight Place in Baldwin Hills.

Smith is most famous for his role as Moses Hightower in the “Police Academy” movies series released throughout the 1980s. He’s also famous for helping the former Baltimore Colts win Super Bowl V in 1970. Smith played defensive end for the Colts from 1976-’71, then joined the Oakland Raiders in 1973-’74, before ending his NFL career with the Houston Oilers in 1975-’76.
