Ex-NFL linebacker Nick Rogers died at age 30 after crashing his car, The Associated Press reports.

According to the AP, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office reports that Rogers suffered a fatal one-car accident at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 3. He ran his car into a utility pole in College Park, Ga., not far from Atlanta.

There are no reports released on what may have been the cause of his fatal crash. Rogers, once a star player for Georgia Tech University, was drafted into the NFL in 2002 and played four years with the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins. He also played shortly for Colorado’s franchise in the Arena Football League in 2008.

Rogers leaves behind his wife, who the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports he just married less than a month ago after 10 years of dating.
