Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested on Thursday after being accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at the Holiday Inn Holidome in Suffern, N.Y. according to MSNBC. The teenager was also beaten during the rape according to reports.

Taylor was arrested by Ramapo, N.Y. police and reportedly will be charged with third-degree rape, a charge conclusive with having sexual intercourse with a minor.

As reported by USA Today, Ramapo police supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence told the Journal News that the victim was a runaway from the Bronx and that she had been assaulted.

“She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved,” St. Lawrence told the Journal News. “She got punched in the face. We’re not sure who did it.”

Since being drafted in 1981, Taylor, 51, has had a turbulent history during and after his storied NFL career. The two-time Super Bowl champion admitted and tested positive for cocaine in 1987 and was suspended for 30 days after failing a drug test in 1988.

After his retirement in 1994, Taylor went to drug rehab twice in 1995 but was still arrested twice over the next three years for buying cocaine from undercover police officers and delinquent child support payments. He was also arrested last year for leaving the scene of a traffic accident in Florida.

Taylor, also known as L.T., was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999. He currently resides in Pembroke Pines, Fla., but has a residence in New Jersey as well.??

Authorities in Ramapo, N.Y,. are expected to release more details in the upcoming days.
