Officer Jacai Colson
The Prince George’s County Police Department recently posted funeral service arrangements for fallen Officer Jacai Colson on its website. A viewing for Colson is scheduled for 2 – 9 p.m. March 24 at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, Maryland.
A second viewing takes place 9 – 11 a.m. March 25 at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 600 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. A funeral service will follow the second viewing beginning at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Glenarden.
The officer’s internment is scheduled for noon March 28 at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, Pennsylvania, about 1 mile away from Colson’s hometown in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania.
Colson was struck and killed by another deputy’s bullet during an attack that was engaged by three brothers—Michael Ford, Elijah Ford, and Malik Ford – on March 13. The crossfire occurred outside the District III police headquarters in Landover, Maryland.
