The Howard University Lady Bison extended their winning streak to four games after beating nonconference opponent Wake Forest, 63-59, in overtime Dec. 18 at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston Salem, N.C.

The Lady Bison advanced to 5-5 overall while Wake Forest fell to 7-3.

Howard was led by junior forward Saadia Doyle with 28 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard Tamoria Holmes added 14 points while junior guard Cheyenne Curley-Payne followed with 10 points.

The Lady Bison shot just 32 percent from the field, but Wake Forest was even worse, shooting 31 percent. No player scored more than 18 points for Wake Forest.

The Lady Bison will face another non-conference opponent in a home game against Buffalo at the Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C. Dec. 20.
