The Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III will be the preacher during the 11 a.m. service on Oct. 16 in Cramton Auditorium located on the campus of Howard University, 2455 6th St. N.W.
He is senior pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Ambassador Suzan Johnson-Cook will be the speaker on Oct. 23.
Haynes has led his congregation for 28 years with a commitment to Christ, passion for people and yearning for community transformation. To that end, the membership at Friendship-West has been increased to nearly 12,000.
