Mercy Medical Center recently welcomed Dr. James L. Frazier to its Central Maryland Neurosurgical Associates’ Department of Neurosurgery. Frazier, who previously served at the Department of Neurological Surgery at Johns Hopkins University, brings a wide range of expertise to his new position.

After graduating from Brown University in Rhode Island, Frazier obtained his medical degree in 2003 from Johns Hopkins. Thereafter, he completed his residency at the Department of Neurosurgery at the university’s school of medicine.

Frazier has numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications, editorials and abstracts and has received many awards and honors. He also is a member of the American Association and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Surgeons of the Central Maryland Neurosurgical Associates now have access to the latest innovative technology. With these new advancements, surgeons are able to utilize the advanced image guided surgery system that assists in the removal of tumors, aneurysms and other abnormalities of the brain and spine. The new technology allows them to perform minimal invasive surgical techniques that will reduce patient risk and have a faster recovery time.
