Devorise Dixon, 25, ordered a regular meal from a KFC in Compton, Calif., but once he opened the box, he lost his appetite.

Dixon shared pictures and videos on Facebook of what appears to be a deep-fried chicken tender in the shape of a rat.  These videos and pictures have gone viral and have a lot of people speculating and reconsidering eating at KFC, or any fast food restaurant for that matter.

“Be safe. Don’t eat fast food!!” Dixon also said in a June 12 posting on Facebook, adding. “It’s time for a lawyer.”

In an interview with the “Randy Economy Radio Show” Dixon expanded on his encounter with the alleged fried critter.

“It was very nasty,” Dixon said. “I spit it out. I looked down at my hand and I realized that it was in the shape of a rat with a tail and everything in it.  The manager actually freaked out, confirmed that it was a rat.  She apologized for it. They actually just offered me a free meal.”

KFC, however, is denying that they sold a fried rat to Dixon.

“We currently have no evidence to support this allegation,” KFC said in a statement to USA Today Network.

KFC stated that Dixon would not cooperate with them in their investigation process or allow an independent lab to evaluate the KFC chicken tender.

“Based on this, and the fact that he refuses to allow anyone to see the product, we are left to believe that he intended to deceive the public with this hoax and we are considering all options,” KFC said in a statement according to the Los Angeles Times.
