Morgan State University women’s basketball head coach Donald Beasley picked up his 90th career victory after leading his team to 55-45 win over the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats on Feb. 7 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The victory also advanced their current win streak to four games and marked their second straight win on the road, as they had just defeated the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers, 63-54, on Feb. 5 in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Lady Bears gave a well-balanced performance from the entire team as multiple players scored double-digits in both games.

Starting senior forward Brittany Noel scored a game-high 15 points against Bethune-Cookman, while teammate Moneshia Davis came off the bench to add 10 points. Davis had scored eight of her 10 points late in the second half that helped Morgan get off on a 15-4 run. The sophomore guard had also led the team with 15 points on Feb. 5 against FAMU and had scored the first five points when the game went into overtime. Other strong performers include senior forward Theresa Davis, who recorded a game-high 11 rebounds vs. Bethune-Cookman and nearly recorded a double-double of 10 points and nine rebounds against the Lady Rattlers.

Morgan State currently sits at second place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with 14-8 overall record, 8-2 in the MEAC. They will face North Carolina Central on Feb. 12 in Durham, N.C.
